Our Unique Process: An Overview
The Décor Shade Company has developed its own proprietary, custom backing process that minimizes puckering, bonding separation and grain distortion– problems which are far too common with fabrics backed using conventional methods.
Fabrics of natural fibers have textural variations. Some of the common visual effects associated with these variations are creases, wrinkles, uneven selvages, shadings, mis-weaves and grain distortions.
Décor Shades has developed backing techniques that can compensate for these natural variations and enhance the fabrics’ visual appeal.
Our systematic approach has allowed us to successfully knit back uneven surface textures, including those of embroidered and beaded fabrics. At Décor Shades we will work with you to design a custom solution for all your backing and finishing needs.
